Michelle Lewis, has been working in the mental health field since 2001. She has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Weber State University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. She has spent her career working with adolescents and adults in a variety of treatment settings. Michelle is skilled at treating a variety of mental health issues, but specializes in emotional barriers to weight loss, emotional eating, binge eating, food addiction, codependency, self-esteem and stress management. She has also worked as a health and wellness coach helping clients achieve their health goals.
Michelle is a contributing expert for GoodTherapy.org, writing articles about weight loss, , relationships, motivation and self care. She has had the opportunity to appear on several local television programs to discuss eating disorders and barriers to weight management.
When she is not working, Michelle enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling and spending time with her husband and dog.
