Mia’s a very proud U.S. Army Veteran. She served as a Combat Medic. Her discipline and hard work earned her a Certificate of Achievement from the Department of the Army for attaining a perfect score on the End-Of-Cycle Test (Soldier Stakes).

Mia graduated from U.C. Berkeley earning her B.A. in Rhetoric and A.A. in English. She since has graduated from the: Writer’s Guild Foundation Veteran Writers Program; VME (Veterans in Media and Entertainment)

AT&T Media Fellowship; USC Warrior Bards program and UCLA Word commandos. She has studied comedy writing with brilliant comedic writers: Brett Forrester, Simon Rich, Bobby Telatovich and Rich Talarico. Recently, she completed The Moth personal storytelling program.
