10-31-17 – Halloween and the Holidays
Is celebrating Halloween acceptable for Christians to partake in. This, the most evil day of the year according to Satanists, is celebrated across America by churches; churches that have embraced the teaching of the World over the teaching of Christ. Most say, “It is only good fun; a day for the children to get candy.” But Satan uses it as a way to turn every participant’s mind off of Christ and onto himself. In short, all who participate worship Satan.

10-18-17 1 Peter 2:18 Submit Yourselves to Your Masters
God says that we should honor him no matter the circumstance so that others might know of grace of God through Jesus Christ. Peter says that we are to honor God even in the instance of being a slave. He does not tell us to fight the bounds of slavery, rather, he says that we should be the best slave that we can be. Then, through the grace of God, others might come to know Jesus as Lord.

10-17-17 1 Peter 2:13-16 Live As Free Men
If we are in Christ, we are to live as free men. We are free no matter the circumstances of the world. However, God tells us to remain pure. We should not use our freedom to do evil. Peter said, “. . . do not use your freedom as cover-up for evil.” God wants his children to show the world how the righteous are to live. We are to honor God in all situations whether slave or free.

10-16-17 – 1 Peter 2:13 Submit Yourself to Authorities
God has given us authorities to keep us safe. We are to submit to those authorities. However, when authorities clash with the laws of God we are to take a stand for God. God has given his laws to the citizens of Heaven. As Christians, we must follow those laws.

10-13-17 – 1Peter 2:10-12 – You Are Aliens and Strangers
“Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits.” Jesus is coming back soon! God expects us to live among the pagans and give an example of Jesus. We are expected to glorify God in our lives in such a way that others will want to become citizens of the most high Kingdom; the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

10-12-17 – 1Peter 2:7-10 – You Are a Royal Priesthood
If you have chosen Jesus, you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. Those who are in Jesus are foreigners and strangers in this world. We are a holy nation of the saved. Our citizenship does not reside in America or any place else in this world. Those who have accepted Christ are citizens of Heaven. Our life is but a fleeting moment here on earth.

10-11-17 – 1Peter 2:4-6 – The Stone the Builders Rejected
Jesus came into the world to give life to the lost. However, the world rejected him. Jesus is the cornerstone of the world, but the builders rejected him. They chose to build their house on the foundation of sin. Even though rejected by many, Jesus remains the cornerstone in which one must base his or her life on if they are going to have eternal life.

10-10-17 - 1Peter 1:20 to 2:2 – You Must Be Born Again
If you want to have everlasting life, you must be born again of the imperishable seed of Jesus Christ. Jesus came to give life to all who will accept as Lord and Savior. Denounce the perishable seed of sin and embrace eternal life in Jesus Christ.

10-9-17 – 1Peter 1:17-19 – You Are Redeemed Imperishable
If you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior you are redeemed with imperishable seed. Adam sowed the seed of the perishable, but Jesus came so that your life might be redeemed if you accept him as Lord and Savior.

10-6-17 – 1 Peter 1:14-16 – Be Holy for I Am Holy
God calls his Church to strive for holiness. It does not mean you are perfect. Rather, it means that you are striving for perfection through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. Holiness comes with the acceptance of Jesus Christ. God sees us as perfect in his Son. Nevertheless, we are still called to actively pursue perfection in our actions and our witness to the lost world that watches how we live as Christians.
