I was born in London, England. I loved literature from childhood. I always read novels, short stories and poetry. English was my strongest subject at school. I wrote a poem, called The Nightmare, when I was thirteen. My English teacher, Miss Sellars, liked it so much , she put it on the classroom wall. I have written three volumes of short stories. Some of my short stories were broadcast on the radio. I have written three volumes of poetry. My poetry has been published in numerous anthologies. I was given an award from The Poetry Society in England for some of my poems. I received commended and honours certificates for some of my poems at The Richmond Music Festival, England. My poem, Stagnation, was shortlisted in The National Anthology Poetry Competition in 2005. My poem, Wishful Thinking, was printed in The Poems In The Waiting Room pamphlet in 2010. These pamphlets are distributed to hundreds of doctors' surgeries in Britain. Research conducted found that people's wellbeing improved when they read joyous poetry.
